What is d need for it; to have sex,to kiss always,to see someone u will always tell " I love u",to be happy or to have someone to think about? I think there should be a very important sole reason for dating other than d lists above. If not that means we're all lost. Good evening, The word "dating" has really been abused by a lot of persons in recent times. So many really do not know what it means to date. Some persons believe that dating is an avenue to have sex, while some others believe that dating has to do with being with someone you love.
These are very wrong notions about dating. Though the second notion I mentioned is good but really does not tell us what dating is about. I believe at this juncture an attempt at a definition is in order. I see dating as a platform where two consenting adults go out socially in order to decipher if both of them are compatible enough to start up a relationship while having marriage in view. Over to Vivien, as she tells us about the essence of dating. Be with someone who can add value to your life!!
If they cannot teach you anything. Why should you be dating someone who cannot come into your life and complement it? Someone who cannot come and challenge how I think or act or teach me a thing or two? One of the questions I think any reasonable person should ask after some time spent in a relationship is — What has my time with this person taught me? The answers to these question should pilot you on where the relationship should head to. Our relationships with people should either add or subtract from us.
You should have someone who comes into your life and take you several steps forward. Someone who is concerned about adding value to their life because no one can give you what they do not have or understand. Stagnant relationships that takes us several steps back. Abusive relationships that ADDS only scars and pains. Sad relationships that have robbed us of the very essence of who we are. Evil relationships that got our dreams killed due to esteem issues and a desire to appear acceptable.
